Today is Russian-born American violinist and conductor Dmitry Sitkovetsky’s 65th birthday.

The son of the late Julian Sitkovetsky, he has performed and recorded extensively with many of the world's leading orchestras and conductors – and served conducting positions with the Ulster Orchestra, Russian State Orchestra and the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
