In September 2021, Szeps-Znaider will begin in a position as music director of the Orchestra National de Lyon

Today is Danish violin virtuoso and conductor Nikolaj Szeps-Znaider's 46th birthday!

A student of Boris Kuschnir and Dorothy DeLay, Szeps-Znaider is a former first prize winner at the Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition and Carl Nielsen International Music Competition — the latter of which he currently serves as president.

He performs and records regularly with many of the world's leading orchestra and conductors.

Szeps-Znaider has also conducted several prominent orchestras including the Chicago Symphony and Cleveland Orchestra.
