Violinist Nicola Benedetti To Host Virtual Chamber Music Weekend

Violinist Nicola Benedetti will host an interactive online chamber music initiative on the 26th and 27th of September

Presented by the Benedetti Foundation, the virtual chamber music weekend will include sectional rehearsals, discussions and talks, as well as the unique opportunity to play along from home with the ensemble.

Open to advanced level school age string players and pianists at a minimum of Grade 6, the sessions will discuss what it means to play chamber music, the context and history of the repertoire studied, and rehearsal relationships and interpretation.

All participants will receive three hours tuition per day with two hours all together at the start and end of the day and one hour in sectional groups.

Participants will be studying George Walker’s Lyric for Strings and the 3rd movement of Schubert’s iconic ‘Trout’ Quintet.
