Ms. Slany founded “Village Life” — a boutique record label which produced, according to London Jazz News, "alternative forms of music to that of the corporate music industry."
As a studio musician, she performed in the soundtracks for several movies including "Hunger Games" and "Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them."
She passed away after a lengthy battle with an undisclosed illness.
Our condolences go out to Ms. Slany's family, friends, and colleagues.
