Prizes Awarded at Moscow’s Yampolsky International Violin Competition
30 year old Hiroko Ninagawa from Japan has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 VII Yampolsky International Violin Competition
30 year old Hiroko Ninagawa from Japan has been awarded 1st prize at the 2017 VII Yampolsky International Violin Competition, in Moscow, Russia.
A student of competition Jury Chairman Eduard Grach at the Moscow Conservatory, Niroko is a former prize winner at the Osaka, Seoul and Kazakhstan International Violin Competitions.
2nd prize was awarded to 17 year old Agafiya Grigoreva from Russia - also a current student of the jury Chairman.
Joint 3rd prizes were awarded to 25 year old Emily Sun from Australia, 25 year old Hayato Ishibashi from the United States, 24 year old Jia Yi Chen and 22 year old Anna Savkina from Russia.
1st prize in the 10-15 year old Junior Competition was awarded to 12 year old Pui Ying Wong from China.
2nd and 3rd prizes were awarded to 15 year old Maria Arteyeva from Russia and 15 year old Sichen Yu from China.
This year’s jury comprised: Eduard Grach (Chairman), Larisa Gabycheva, Vladimir Ivanov, Mikhail Gantvarg, Anna Kadinsky, Lina Yu, Petru Munteanu, Itzhak Rashkovsky and Raissa Mussakhajayeva.
