England's Yehudi Menuhin School Announce New Director of Music
The Yehudi Menuhin School has announced the appointment of conductor and composer Oscar Colomina i Bosch as their new Director of Music
The Yehudi Menuhin School in Surry, United Kingdom has today announced the appointment of 39 year old conductor and composer Oscar Colomina i Bosch as their new Director of Music - effective from September 2017.
A graduate of the Guildhall School of Music and the Royal Academy of Music, Oscar currently serves on the teaching faculty of the Royal Academy of Music.
Founded in 1963 by violinist Yehudi Menhin for exceptionally gifted school-aged string players and pianists, previous alumni include Nicola Benedetti, Alina Ibragimova, Aleksey Igudesman, Nigel Kennedy, Tasmin Little, Alexander Sitkovetsky and Valeriy Sokolov.
Oscar will become the 6th Music Director since the school's opening - succeeding Malcolm Singer in the role.
