Yellow Barn Music Festival Set to Host ‘Robert Mann Celebration Day’

It has been announced this week that Yellow Barn Music Festival in Putney, Vermont, United States, is set to host a series of upcoming special events, on July 14th, in memory of American violinist Robert Mann – who passed away in January of this year, aged 97.

The all-day tribute, will include public masterclasses, a screening of Robert Mann’s documentary Speak the Music, a public discussion lead by his son, Nicholas Mann, a pre-concert dinner and an evening chamber music concert.

“Robert Mann has had an enormous impact on American Chamber Music,” Yellow Barn faculty member Bonnie Hampton has said.

“Blazing the trail for hundreds of musicians to find a life in the exploration and realization of some of the greatest music to be written for that medium,” she has said.

Audience members are invited to attend any of the day’s events, or group them together for a full celebration.
