The 12 Semi-Finalists have today been announced at the 2018 Schoenfeld International Violin Competition - in Harbin, China.
The 2018 Semi-Finalists are:

- Marco Gialluca (Italy)
- Gyehee Kim (South Korea)
- Kunwha Lee (South Korea)
- Eri Masaoka (Japan)
- Michiru Matsuyama (Japan)
- Albrecht Menzel (Germany)
- Felicitas Schiffner (Germany)
- Eimi Wakui (Japan)
- Wendi Wang (China)
- Vasyl Zatsikha (Ukraine)
Open to violinists of any nationality, the 1st prize violin winner will receive US $30,000.
The 2018 jury comprises: Jean-Jacques Kantorow (Chair), David Geringas (Chair), Ole Bøhn, Andrés Cárdenes, Anne Gastinel, Karine Georgian, Rudolf Koelman, Kun Hu, Grzegorz Kotow, Jakob Kullberg, Alexander Markov, Amit Peled, James Tennant, Raphael Wallfisch and Raimund Trenkler.
Former prize winners include VC Artists Bomsori Kim, Ji Won Song, and Richard Lin.
