It has been announced this week that the 2020 Princess Astrid International Music Competition, in Trondheim, Norway has been postponed – due to the growing uncertainty of the COVID-19 virus.

Scheduled to take place in October 2020, the competition will now take place in October 2021.

The 2020 candidates will be invited back for the 2021 edition.

Open to international violinists 31 years of age or younger, the 1st prize winner will receive €16,000 – plus a solo engagement with Trondheim Symfoniorkester & Opera.
