2021 Stuttgart International Violin Competition's First Prize Winner Eva Rabchevska

Applications are closing on July 31, 2023 for the second edition of the competition — to be held in Stuttgart, Germany from February 19 to 26, 2024

A graduate of the Bratislava State Conservatory, in Slovakia, and current student of Zakhar Bron at the Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía, in Madrid, the Ukrainian violinist is a former major prize winner at the Carl Flesch and Karol Lipinski International Violin Competitions. She was also one of twelve finalists at the prestigious 2019 Queen Elisabeth International Violin Competition.

Here, Eva performs Clara Schuman's Romance Op. 22, at the Stuttgart International Violin Competition – where she was awarded First Prize at the competition's 2021 edition.

 

 

Organized by the Guadagnini Foundation and the Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts, the Stuttgart International Violin Competition is open to international violinists 28 years of age and younger.

The 2024 competition's prize money is totalling 60,000 Euros. The first prize winner will benefit from a number of important performance engagements, the loan of a 1746 Giovanni Battista Guadagnini violin, as well as artist management for the three subsequent years.

The 2024 jury will comprise Ingolf Turban (President), Shmuel Ashkenasi, Ulf Wallin, Hagai Shaham, Suyoen Kim, Rudolf Koelman, Dr. Harald Eggebrecht, Josef Rissin, and Stefan Fehlandt.
