85 Piano Participants Announced at the 19th Chopin Competition
The competition will run from October 2 - 21, 2025, in Warsaw
Open to those born between 1995 and 2009, the preliminary rounds of the 19th Chopin Competition concluded earlier this month at the Warsaw Philharmonic.
The jury, chaired by Professor Piotr Paleczny, selected 66 pianists, who will return to Warsaw in October 2025.
Additionally, 19 performers have been admitted directly to Stage I of the Competition without going through the preliminaries. These are laureates of selected piano competitions such as competitions in Leeds, Tel Aviv, Miami, Bolzano, Hamamatsu, the Paderewski International Piano Competition in Bydgoszcz, as well as the Fryderyk Chopin National Piano Competition in Warsaw.

The competition will culminate in an awards gala and laureate concert on October 21 at the Great Theatre National Opera.
The first prize will receive €60,000, second prize €40,000, third prize €35,000, fourth €30,000, fifth €25,000, and sixth €20,000. The remaining finalists will receive €8,000.
After the competition, its laureates will perform in prestigious concert halls across Europe, Asia, and the Americas, organized by the Fryderyk Chopin Institute in collaboration with the Liu Kotow agency.
