American conductor Vincent La Selva has passed away from the effects of dementia - aged 88

American conductor Vincent La Selva has passed away from the effects of dementia - aged 88.

He served a long time faculty position at The Juilliard School - and was the founder and music director of the New York Grand Opera's free performances in Central Park from 1973 until 2012.

Our condolences are with his family, friends, colleagues and students.
