Apple Music Classical Now Available in CarPlay
The classical music app is now available to use in a smarter and safer way while driving
The recent integration of Apple Music Classical with Apple CarPlay will now enable listeners worldwide to browse all editorial playlists and their library safely while driving.
Through Siri in the latest iOS 18.1 system, users can search in CarPlay for composers, artists, works, and instruments in multiple languages — including English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, and more.
CarPlay users can also receive directions, make calls, plus send and receive messages in the car’s built-in display, all while listening to their favorite music.
Optimizing the search for any recording in its comprehensive catalog, Apple Music Classical utilizes advanced search tools built especially for classical music.
The app also involves curated playlists, composer biographies, as well as over 50,000 booklets featuring in-depth liner notes, translations, and more.
In 2023, Apple also launched the Apple Classical Top 100 — a weekly chart combining five data sources from over 165 countries to form a thorough view of the trends in classical music.
The platform’s partner organizations currently include the Berlin Philharmonic, Carnegie Hall, Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Concertgebouw Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Metropolitan Opera, New York Philharmonic, Opéra National de Paris, Seoul Arts Center, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Suntory Hall, and Vienna Philharmonic.
Apple Music subscribers can now access Apple Music Classical at no additional cost. For more information, click here.
