Applications Closing for New York’s Barbash Bach String Competition

Applications are due by the 11th of October

This year's competition will be held online from Stony Brook University, in New York, on December 1st.

Open to international string players 16 to 30 years of age, the 1st prize winner will receive $5000, plus a performance invitation to the Island Symphony Bach Festival.

The jury will comprise Stephanie Chase, Stanley Ritchie, Tanya Tomkins, Philip Setzer and Colin Carr.

Previous 1st prize winners include, baroque violinist Rachell Ellen Wong.
