Applications Closing for the NOMEA Competition
Applications for the Naples-based violin competition are due on December 10, 2021
NOMEA organizes international competitions and festivals both live and online, referred to as one of "the best Italian innovative projects of 2020."

Applicants apply based on age, with first, second, and third prizes awarded in each category.
The Junior A category, ages 6 and under, has a fee of €40, and a program maximum of 5 minutes. First prize in this category includes €500, a concert in Naples, Italy, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, and more.
The Junior B category, ages 7-10, has a fee of €45, and a program maximum of 8 minutes. The first prize in this category includes €600, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a concert in Naples, Italy, and more.
The Junior C category, ages 11-13, has a fee of €50, and a program maximum of 10 minutes. The first prize in this category includes €700, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a concert in Naples, Italy, and more.
The Junior D category, ages 14-16, has a fee of €55, and a program maximum of 12 minutes. First prize in this category includes €800, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a concert in Naples, Italy, and more.
The Young category, ages 17-20, has an application fee of €20 before October 15 and €40 after, with an additional €40 for the final step. There is a program maximum of 10 minutes for the preliminary step and 20 minutes for the final step. The first prize in this category includes €1500, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a concert in Naples, Italy, and more.
The Best Violinist category, open to ages 16-35, has an application fee of €30 before October 15 and €50 after, with an additional €50 for the final step. There is a program maximum of 10 minutes for the preliminary step and 30 minutes for the final step. The first prize in this category includes €3000, an invitation to the Winners Gala at the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet of Albania, a concert in Naples, Italy, and more.
Additional special prizes include the Best performance of a work of Baroque Composer, the Best Performance of a work of Classical Composer, the Best Performance of a work of Romantic Composer, the Best Performance of a work of Contemporary Composer, the Best Performance of a work of L.v. Beethoven, the Best performance of Virtuoso Etude, the Best performance of Virtuoso Composition, Best African Violinist, Best Asian Violinist, Best European Violinist, Best North American Violinist, Best South American Violinist, and Best Australian Violinist.
