Applications Closing for The Royal Conservatory's Glenn Gould School
Open to international pianists, vocalists, and orchestral instrumentalists, applications close on December 1, 2022
Applications are soon closing for The Royal Conservatory Glenn Gould School in Toronto, Ontario.
Students can apply to the Undergraduate Bachelor of Music, Post-Bachelor Artist Diploma, and the Post-Graduate Redbanks Family Femmoship and International Performance Residency Program.
Open to international pianists, vocalists, and orchestral instrumentalists, the Glenn Gould School is an internationally-recognized center for professional training in music performance at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Its professors include the likes of violinist Paul Kantor, cellist Hans Jørgen Jensen, and violinist/violist Barry Shiffman.
"The Glenn Gould School is a wonderful modern Conservatory located in the heart of Toronto within the facilities of The Royal Conservatory of Music – one of the largest and most respected music institutions in the world," Hans Jørgen Jensen told The Violin Channel. "The name is perfect, because not only was Glenn Gould a phenomenal pianist but he is also one of the most inspiring musicians of all time.
"When selecting students, teachers are looking more at their future potential as a professional musician rather than judging their present level of playing," Hans added. "Being open and willing to accept constructive feedback is one of the most important qualities that I look for in students."
Applications are to be received by December 1, 2022.
