Young string players should apply by November 26 for this opportunity to play chamber music alongside luminaries such as Gidon Kremer, Lawrence Power, and Sir András Schiff
The deadline is fast approaching for 2024 applications to the Kronberg Academy's unique Chamber Music Connects the World program. The annual project places outstanding young musicians ("Juniors") into chamber ensembles with some of the world's best artists ("Seniors") for ten intense days of high-quality music-making.
In 2024, the selected participants will perform alongside Gary Hoffman, Gidon Kremer, Enrico Pace, Miklóls Perényi, Lawrence Power, Sir András Schiff, and Antje Weithaas.
This opportunity is open to violinists, violists, and cellist who were born in or after 1996. In 2024, the project will take place from May 9 to 19, and applications must be received by November 26, 2023.

To apply, players will need a reference from a well-known, established artist. They will also need to supply a current resume, a statement, and a recorded audition comprising two major pieces of repertoire.
Approximately 25 players will be shortlisted for the program and will participate in the live auditions, which will take place in Kronberg on January 26 and 27, 2024. Applicants will be asked to play chamber repertoire with members of the Aris Quartet, and the jury will comprise Gary Hoffman, Raimund Trenkler, and Friedemann Eichhorn.
There is no cost for the selected players to attend the initiative since it is funded in full by the Crespo Foundation.
