Applications Closing for Classical:NEXT 2024

The annual event selects the most innovative projects and showcase concerts from its participants, with applications closing on October 6, 2023

To be held in Berlin, Germany from May 14 – 17, 2024, Classical:NEXT is a global networking and exchange hub dedicated to classical and art music. Each year, thousands of industry experts gather from over 45 countries worldwide.

Consisting of an interactive conference, project pitches, showcase concerts, innovation awards, and networking, the event is accessible to professional artists, managers, presenters, orchestras, labels, educators, and more.

Part of the event is the Classical:NEXT Project Pitches, which allows creators to form new collaborations and enables representatives from ensembles, music theater productions, and projects to offer insight into their current offerings.

The most innovative project pitches, live showcase performances, and conference session material are handpicked for the 2024 Classical:NEXT program by an international jury.

The 2024  jury comprises Asbjørn Keiding, Ulrike Köstinger, Jahangir Salimkhanov, Katja Frei, Angela Acuña, Jacob Greenberg, Matthew Lynch, Hendrik Storme, and Hanako Yamaguchi 

“The jury for Classical:NEXT 2024 is now official and they are waiting for your proposal!” the organization posted on Facebook. “They will carefully select the most promising and forward-looking proposals by ensuring an optimal balance of geographical, age, ethnicity, and gender representations, as well as themes, approaches, and instrumentation. We’ve got the whole spectrum covered!”
