Applications Open to 2024 Piccolo Violino Magico Competition
The international competition will be held from July 1–7, 2024, in San Vito al Tagliamento, Italy
Open to violinists up to age 13 of any nationality, the first prize winner of the Piccolo Violino Magico Competition will receive a scholarship worth €5,000, and a violin made by contemporary Italian luthier Fabio Piagentini, valued at €9,000.
The second prize is worth €3,000, the third prize is €2,000, and the fourth prize is €1,000; further special prizes will also be announced. The final concert and award ceremony will be held on July 7, 2024.
The preselection jury, coordinated by Pavel Vernikov and Domenico Mason, will evaluate candidates’ videos by April 30, 2024. A maximum of 20 candidates will be admitted to the competition.
Organized in three rounds, the competition will take place at the Auditorium Comunale in San Vito al Tagliamento. Yet to be announced, the final jury will comprise internationally renowned musicians.
For the first two rounds, the competitors will be accompanied by the Accademia d’Archi Arrigoni ensemble. Final round competitors will perform with the FVG Orchestra.
