How would your friends and chamber music partners describe you?
To my face or behind my back? :p Seriously have no idea, you’d have to ask them..
Biggest business lesson you’ve learnt so far in your career?
As a freelancer, you’re in effect running your own small business—and you are personally responsible for everything to do with that. It’s necessary and good to delegate tasks, but make sure you’re keeping track personally of everything surrounding your career. No one will care as much as you!
What would you say would be your dream gig?
I’d love to program a festival or concert series one day, where I could play by myself and also invite my favorite artists to participate.
Song that makes you turn the radio up?
Heroes—David Bowie
What would you say makes you unique as a musician?
I believe every musician, as every human being, is by definition unique! May seem like avoiding the question, but it’s really not something to which I aspire when I practice, as I think it should come naturally out of other factors.
