Askonas Holt Management Welcomes New Violinist
Ukrainian-German violinist Diana Tishchenko will join the roster of the artist management agency for general management
Askonas Holt has welcomed Ukrainian-German violinist Diana Tishchenko to its artist roster, where she will be managed by Olivia Lyndon-Jones and Philip Keegan.
Tishchenko was the grand prix winner of the 2018 Long-Thibaud-Crespin Competition and was an Echo Rising Star for the current 2022/23 season.
She has performed at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam, Philharmonie Paris, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg, Konzerthaus Vienna, Barbican London, Philharmonie Cologne, and Bozar Brussels.
Recently performing at the Rheingau Musik Festival, she will be featured at the Schleswig-Holstein Musik Festival this summer, as well as at the Edinburgh International Festival in chamber music concerts with oboist Albrecht Mayer.
Her latest concerto debuts include the Budapest Festival Orchestra, Vienna Symphony Orchestra, Gurzenich Orchestra, and Deutsches-Symphonie Orchester Berli.
Additionally, she embarked on a tour with the Kyiv Symphony, playing in venues such as the Berliner Philharmonie, Gewandhaus Leipzig, and Konzerthaus Berlin, and working with conductors including Ivan Fischer, Francois-Xavier Roth, Joshua Weilerstein, and Pierre Bleuse.
Featuring works by Ravel, Prokofiev, Enescu, and Ysaye, her debut album “Strangers in PARadISe” on Warner Classics, received critical acclaim, with the BBC Music Magazine awarding it five stars.
In 2022, she participated in the environmental project “The uncertain Four Seasons,” where she performed an altered version of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons according to climate data, with the European Union Youth Orchestra.
Performed live on ARTE concerts, this performance was streamed worldwide and won Best Filmed Concert 2022 at the Prague Film Festival. It has since been broadcast at the European Parliament and the UNESCO headquarters.
Her upcoming recital engagements include the Rheingau Festival and the Edinburgh Festival. Her collaborating artists include Mayer and pianists Jose Gallardo and Yuliana Avdeeva.
Tishchenko plays a 17th-century Antonio Stradivari violin from Cremona.
