The New York City-based VC Artist Attacca Quartet has this week announced the appointment of American violinist Domenic Salerni to the ensemble – effective immediately.

A graduate of The Cleveland Institute of Music and the Yale University School of Music, Domenic will replace violinist Keiko Tokunaga – who will retire from the ensemble after 15 years.

The Attacca Quartet were earlier this month awarded a Grammy Award for the ‘Best Chamber Music/Small Ensemble Performance’ recording – for their 2019 ‘Shaw: Orange’ album.

“I have been the biggest Attacca Quartet fan over the years, and I can only hope my growth as a musician can keep pace with these olympians of chamber music …” Domenic has this week said

“Their mettle has been tested in the fires of some of the most prestigious venues, competitions, and residencies, and their most recent accolades are only a small testament to the kind of musicians they are day in and day out,” he has said.
