Australian string instrument maker and luthier Robert Ditterich has passed away from cancer - aged 65

Australian string instrument maker and luthier Robert Ditterich has passed away from cancer - aged 65.

Mr Ditterich had operated his own workshop in Geelong, Australia since 1992.

“Dad was a tremendously creative man, a loving father and grandfather and a man with great dignity and integrity ...” his son, Nicholas, has told local media.

"He had great sensitivity, especially to the musicians who used to buy and repair their instruments through his business,” he has said.
