The British pianist will receive worldwide representation from the agency
Pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen has recently signed with HarrisonParrott for worldwide management and representation.
Having studied with Joan Havill and Imogen Cooper at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Rushdie Momen then furthered her studies with Richard Goode and with Sir András Schiff at the Kronberg Academy.
The core of her repertoire lies in the eighteenth and nineteenth centuries, but Rushdie Momen also performs works from the likes of Orlando Gibbons and Rameau. She has a special interest in Renaissance music and in 2023, she marks the 400th anniversary of the death of William Byrd by presenting his works interlaced with Classical and 20th Century works.
Rushdie Momen has also commissioned new works from composers such as Nico Muhly and Vijay Iyer.
She has performed in sought-after venues, such as at the Wigmore Hall, Carnegie Hall, Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Lucerne Festival, Zurich Tonhalle, Antwerp deSingel, Leeds International Piano Series, and the Oxford Piano Festival.
This season, Rushdie Momen makes her debut at the Hamburg Elbphilharmonie, in addition to performances with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra and Deutsche Kammerakademie Neuss, and touring France with Orchestre National d’Ile de France playing Bartók Piano Concerto No.3,
In October 2019, Rushdie Momen released her first album, Variations, on SOMM Recordings — a disc of music by Robert and Clara Schumann, Brahms, and Felix Mendelssohn.
"We're thrilled to announce that pianist Mishka Rushdie Momen has joined us for worldwide management!" wrote HarrisonParrott. "Hailed as 'one of the most thoughtful & sensitive of British pianists' (The Times), Mishka captivates audiences with her refined & expressive playing."
