Candidates Announced for New York's 2019 Adelphi Orchestra Competition

The candidates have been announced for the 2019 15th annual Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition

The 22 candidates have today been announced for the 2019 15th annual Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition – to be held in New York on April 27, 2019.

The 2019 Junior Division candidates are:

  • Maximo Kim (Piano)
  • Chelsie Lim (Cello)
  • Serin Isabelle Park (Violin)
  • Sean Yu (Cello)

The 2019 Senior Division candidates are:

  • Noam Yeshaya Ginsparg (Cello)
  • Dylan Hamme (Violin)
  • Ziyue Daniel Ma (Cello)
  • Sarah Ma (Violin)
  • Laura Navasardian (Cello)
  • Enrique Rodrigues (Violin)

The 2019 College Division candidates are:

  • Daria Barabanova (Piano)
  • Sterling Elliott (Cello)
  • Phoebe Gardner (Violin)
  • Mariella Haubs (Violin)
  • Abigel Kralik (Violin)
  • Xizhu Liang (Piano)
  • Kenneth Ryu Naito (Violin)
  • Daniel Rafimayeri (Violin)
  • Rannveig Marta Sarc (Violin)
  • Sophia Steger (Violin)
  • Hikaru Yonezaki (Violin)
  • Ning Zhang (Clarinet)

Open to international instrumentalists up to the age of 23, the 2019 1st prize winner will receive a solo engagement opportunity with the Adelphi Orchestra.

Previous 1st prize winners include: Randall Goosby and VC Young Artist Nathan Meltzer.
