Cellist Astrig Siranossian Signs with HarrisonParrott
A past winner of the Penderecki International Competition, Siranossian will receive global management from the agency
The French cellist Astrig Siranossian has joined the roster of the HarrisonParrott Group, where she will receive global management from agents Henrik Björlin, François Guyard, and Yeijin Park.
Born into a family of musicians, Siranossian entered the Lyon Regional Conservatoire at the age of 8, eventually graduating from the Lyon National Conservatoire with the highest distinction at the age of 18. She then pursued further study with Ivan Monighetti at the Hochschüle für Musik in Basel, where she received two advanced soloist qualifications.
Siranossian won First Prize at the International Penderecki Competition, and on several separate occasions, she also received the competition's Special Prize. She frequently appears as a soloist with leading orchestras, often working alongside musicians such as Daniel Barenboim, Simon Rattle, Martha Argerich, Yo-Yo Ma, and Emmanuel Pahud, among others.
She is presently the artistic director of Musicades, a festival in her hometown of Romans sur Isère, which pairs music with the other arts. In 2023, Astrig was appointed artistic director of the Adèle Clément Cello Festival in the Drôme, and from 2024, she will direct the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Festival in Trouville.
Siranossian is the founder of Spidak Sevane, an organization which seeks to help children in Lebanon and Armenia through music.
"[This is the] beginning of new adventures with HarrisonParrott Group," Siranossian wrote on social media.
