Cellist Gautier Capuçon Signs with Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm Artists
The French cellist has joined the roster of the Vienna-based agency for general management
Cellist Gautier Capuçon has now signed with the Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm artist agency for his general management. The Vienna-based company has collaborated with Capuçon since 2002.
Performing with world-leading orchestras each season, Capuçon has worked with conductors including Semyon Bychkov, Gustavo Dudamel, Charles Dutoit, Christoph Eschenbach, Andrès Orozco-Estrada, Pablo Heras-Casado, Paavo Jarvi, Klaus Mäkelä, Andris Nelsons, and Christian Thielemann.
Additionally, he is the visionary behind the acclaimed “Un été en France” project, which aims to bring classical music to broader audiences and showcase the cultural richness of the French countryside.
In 2022, he founded the Gautier Capuçon Foundation to support emerging musicians and provide them with opportunities to develop their careers through scholarships, mentorship, and performance opportunities.
Recording exclusively for Warner Classics’ sister label Erato, Capuçon holds an award-winning discography featuring major concerto and chamber music literature.
He has also premiered works by contemporary composers such as Thierry Escaich, Lera Auerbach, and Danny Elfman. Capuçon performs on a 1701 Matteo Goffriller cello.
“We are deeply committed to providing our artists with the highest level of support and opportunities,” said Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm’s Managing Director, Nora Pötter-Grabko in the press release. “Working closely with Gautier Capuçon over the years has been a privilege, and we are incredibly proud to have him join us in a more comprehensive capacity.”
“I am delighted to join Dr. Raab & Dr. Böhm for general management after so many years of fruitful collaboration,” Capuçon added. “This partnership feels like a natural progression, and I look forward to continuing our journey together — reaching new heights.”
