Prominent British Cellist Christine Jackson Has Passed Away - Aged 53

British-born Australian cellist, Christine Jackson has passed away from the effects of a brain aneurysm - aged just 53.

She served Principal positions with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, the Royal Ballet Orchestra, Halle Orchestra, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra and the Australian Chamber Orchestra.

As a soloist she performed with a number of leading European ensembles - including a Concerto recording with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra on the Terarc label.

Our condolences are with Christine's family, friends, colleagues and students.
