English Conductor Christopher Hogwood Has Died After a Long Illness - Aged 73

English conductor, harpsichordist and musicologist Christopher Hogwood has passed away – aged 73.
A graduate of Cambridge University, Maestro Hogwood was the founder of the Academy of Ancient Music – a period instrument ensemble specialising in the performances of Baroque and early Classical music – and served during the 1980s and 1990s as Artistic Director of Boston's Handel and Haydn Society and the Saint Paul Chamber Orchestra.
