Respected American Pianist Claude Frank Has Passed Away from Dementia – Aged 89

German-born American pianist Claude Frank has passed away from the complications of dementia at his home, in New York – aged 89.

A student of Artur Schnabel, Mr Frank served long term faculty positions at the Curtis Institute of Music and the Yale School of Music.

He is the father of respected violinist and pedagogue Pamela Frank.
