SAD NEWS | Czech-American Composer Ladislav Kubík Has Died - Aged 71

Czech-American composer Ladislav Kubík has passed away - aged 71.

A graduate of the Prague Academy of Music, Mr Kubík served composition teaching positions on faculty at the Florida State University College of Music, Prague Conservatory, Charles University, University d'Orsay and the University of South Florida.

He was the recipient of a number of international awards and prizes - including the UNESCO International Rostrum of Composers Prize, Intervision Competition Prize and the John Simon Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship.
