Conductor Chelsea Gallo Signs to Arabella Arts

A recipient of the Georg Solti Foundation USA Career Fellowship, American conductor Chelsea Gallo has recently signed with Arabella Arts for general management. She joins conductors Marie Jacquot, Leonard Slatkin, and Jonathan Bloxham on the Arabella Arts roster.
During the 2023-25 seasons, Gallo is Resident Conductor of The Florida Orchestra, Principal Guest Conductor of the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra, and a cover conductor for the New York Philharmonic. She previously held an Assistant Conductor position at the Louisiana Philharmonic and was a Conducting Fellow with Dallas Opera.
Gallo studied conducting in Vienna, Prague, and Banská Štiavnica (Slovakia) with Leoš Svárovský and the late Maksimilijan Cenčić. She holds a conducting doctorate from the University of Michigan, where she studied with Kenneth Kiesler, and she has also attended festivals and masterclasses with conductors such as Sir Simon Rattle and Daniel Barenboim.
She has appeared with the Virginia Symphony Orchestra, North Carolina Symphony Orchestra, Sarasota Orchestra, Missouri Symphony, Bridgeport Symphony, Jackson Symphony Orchestra, Lancaster Symphony, Youngstown Symphony Orchestra, Toledo Symphony, the Hartford Opera, Opera Orlando, Marigny Opera, Opera Orlando, and the Slovak Sinfonietta, among others.
