Today is Finnish conductor and composer Esa-Pekka Salonen's 62nd birthday!
Esa-Pekka has served Principal Conducting positions with the Philharmonia Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra – and was the recipient of the highly esteemed 2011 Grawemeyer Award for Music Composition.
