French conductor and composer Jean-Jacques Werner has passed away - aged 82

French conductor and composer Jean-Jacques Werner has passed away - aged 82.

A graduate of the Strasbourg Conservatory and the Paris Schola Cantorum, throughout his 6 decade career, Maestro Werner served conducting positions with the French Radio And Television Orchestra, Paris Lyric Opera, Radio France Philharmonic, Orchestra National de France, European Youth Orchestra and the Leon Barzin Orchestra.

He also held long term teaching positions on faculty at the Reims and Paris Conservatoires.
