Today is Hungarian conductor Iván Fischer’s 67th birthday.

Maestro Fischer has held prestigious conducting positions with the BBC Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Los Angeles Philharmonic Orchestra and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra.

He is the founder of the Budapest Festival Orchestra – and currently serves as Music Director of the Konzerthaus Berlin and Principal Conductor of the Konzerthausorchester Berlin.
