Conductor Roderick Cox Signs with HarrisonParrott

The American conductor will receive worldwide general management

London-based agency HarrisonParrott recently signed American conductor Roderick Cox for worldwide general management. He will be represented by Katie Cardell-Oliver, the agency's Associate Director of Artist Management.

Hailing originally from Georgia, Cox studied conducting at Columbus State University and Northwestern University. He received the Robert J. Harth Conducting Prize from the Aspen Music Festival in 2013 and held a fellowship with the Chicago Sinfonietta.

Following a year as the assistant conductor to Osmo Vänskä at the Minnesota Orchestra, he was then made Associate Conductor for three years.

Cox works with some of the world's best ensembles — including the Philadelphia Orchestra, Boston Symphony, Staatskapelle Dresden, Orchestre de Paris, Los Angeles Philharmonic, Cincinnati Symphony, the Cleveland Orchestra, Philharmonia Orchestra, and Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin.

He is also the founder of the Roderick Cox Music Initiative, which offers scholarships and opportunities to young musicians hailing from underserved communities.

"I am thrilled to announce that I am joining the roster of HarrisonParrott Artist Management, and I look forward to the wonderful work we will achieve together in the future," wrote Cox on social media. "I will be working alongside managers, Katie Cardell-Oliver and Lydia Connolly, who will represent me globally."

"Thank you all for your continued support and I am looking forward to sharing more music with you in the future!"
