Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse de Paris — Professor of Violin

Founded in 1795, the Conservatoire national supérieur de musique et de danse de Paris (CNSMDP) is currently seeking a violin professor in the department of classical and contemporary instrumental disciplines.
The successful candidate will work 12 hours a week; the role’s basic salary is calculated according to the first level of the CNSMDP teacher index scale, which stands at an annual gross amount of €36,566.
The position is set to be filled on September 1, 2024, in time for the 2024/25 academic year.
To deliver the specific violin curriculum, the role will report to the director of the conservatory and the head of department.
The admission test for the position will take place on April 25 and April 26, 2024, and will involve presenting a 30-minute course to students in front of a five-member selection committee. An interview of max. 20 minutes will also be held in either French or English.
