Curtis Institute Appoints Vice President for Artist Management Initiative

Andrew Lane will assume the role, overseeing touring as well as artist management

The Curtis Institute of Music gradually rolled out its artist management program over the last year. They are currently representing two artists: the Dover String Quartet from August 2020 and pianist Michelle Cann from May 2021. They are both on the faculty at Curtis.

Since 2013, Lane has been involved with "Curtis on Tour," the school's global touring initiative, reaching over 110 cities in 23 countries and developing partnerships with global institutions.

During the pandemic, Lane managed virtual tours, ensuring continued access to high-quality performances and educational programs for audiences. Under his new role, he will continue to expand the school’s global and national influence.

Lane formerly booked chamber music and orchestral engagements for several of the world's top artists like Yefim Bronfman and Jonathan Biss at Opus 3 Artists. He also held an administrative post at the Lubbock Symphony Orchestra.

“We have absolutely loved working with Andrew and are excited to continue doing so with his well-deserved promotion,” said the members of the Dover Quartet. “To work with him is to be in great hands and in the best company!”
