Daniel Hope, Sting & Guests Perform Christmas@Home
Violinist Daniel Hope and guests perform an intimate program, including new arrangements of Christmas songs, classical works, and the hit song "Fields of Gold"
During the early COVID-19 lockdowns in March 2020, violinist Daniel Hope launched “Hope at Home,” a daily livestream on ARTE TV in which he performed in his living room to encourage viewers to stay home.
Continuing the project after lockdowns, the series was followed by “Hope@Home on Tour,” in which Hope traveled to and live-streamed performances from theaters around Germany. The third iteration of the series, "Europe@Home," saw Hope perform 27 concerts over nine weeks, celebrating a different country in the European Union in each performance. In total, the program featured over 400 musicians over 150 episodes that raised tens of thousands of Euros for artists in need.
In this special "Christmas@Home" edition, Daniel Hope's guests include British musician and composer, Sting, South African opera singer Golda Schultz, the winner of the 18th International Chopin Piano Competition, Bruce Liu, Brazilian pianist Sylvia Thereza, Argentinian-British guitarist Dominic Miller and the Leonkoro Quartet.
