Italian Daniele Gatti Announced as New Concertgebouw Chief Conductor
The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra has today announced Italian conductor Daniele Gatti as their new Chief Conductor, from 2016.
He will replace Maestro Mariss Jansons, who announced in April of this year he will depart the role in March 2015 – at the conclusion of his 10th season.
Maestro Daniele Gatti, 53 has served Principal Positions with the Orchestra Dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, Royal Opera House Covent Garden, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Orchestre National de France and the Zurich Opera
