German composer, theologian, musicologist and college professor Dieter Schnebel has passed away from a heart ailment - aged 88

German composer, theologian, musicologist and college professor Dieter Schnebel has passed away in Berlin from a heart ailment - aged 88.

Heavily influenced by the works of Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Henry Cowell and Mauricio Kagel, he served a teaching professorship on faculty of the Berlin University of the Arts from 1976 until his retirement in 1995.
