Esbjerg Ensemble Denmark Funding Crisis Cover

Denmark Chamber Ensemble Call for Signatures to Save Funding [SIGN NOW]

The Denmark-based Esbjerg Ensemble has today launched a public appeal for petition signatures against a local government's decision to withdraw all funding.

The ensemble, comprising ten full-time musicians, was founded in 1967 as an initiative of the Danish Ministry of Culture - as Denmark's first professional chamber group.

Without the government subsidy the group anticipates its last performance will take place in January 2018.

A final decision will be made on October 5th.
