The 4 finalists have been announced for the 2018 'Getting to Carnegie Hall' Violin Competition, in New York - including 17 year old VC Young Artist Nathan Meltzer.
The 2018 finalists are:
- VC Young Artist Nathan Meltzer (United States)
- Zachary Brandon (United States)
- Arianna Dotto (Italy)
- Rachel Ostler (United States)
The final will be held on January 14th, 2018 at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall - where each finalist will contribute a movement to the world premiere performance of composer and pianist Julian Gargiulo's 'Sonata No. 2 for Violin and Piano'.
The 1st prize winner will receive US $2,000 - plus a solo performance at the Water Island Music Festival, in the Caribbean.
