Finalists Announced at Minnesota's 2018 Saint Paul String Quartet Competition

The 7 string quartets progressing to the final round of the 2018 Saint Paul String Quartet Competition have been announced

The 7 string quartets progressing to the final round of the 2018 Saint Paul String Quartet Competition have today been announced – in Minnesota, United States.

The 2018 finalists are:

• Kairos String Quartet
• Kobuki Quartet
• Bear Quartet
• Callisto Quartet
• Geneva String Quartet
• DAJJ Quartet
• Dysania Quartet

Open to United States residents, with all members of the ensemble under the age of 19 and not yet enrolled in a college program, the 1st prize winners will receive USD $1,000 plus 4 hand-made Anderson Music stands.

The 2018 final round, to be held on the 22nd of April, will be adjudicated by members of the Lark String Quartet.

Former prize winners include the Astera String Quartet, Vieira String Quartet, DAJJ Quartet, Chimera Quartet and the Atara String Quartet.
