First Ever Piazzolla Music Competition Launched

The international online music competition for solo instrumentalists and ensembles is in honor of composer Astor Piazzolla’s 100th birthday

Presented by the Astor Piazzolla Foundation and Piazzolla's family, all profits from the competition will benefit music education charities.

The competition is open to musicians of any nationality, state, or country of residence who are at least 13 years of age.

Video submissions must feature works solely composed by Astor Piazzolla, and include at least six minutes of music and two complete pieces.

Applications are open until April 18, 2021.

The jury is comprised of Pablo Ziegler (President of the Jury), Daniel Villaflor Piazzolla, Daniel Binelli, Héctor Del Curto, Cesare Chiacchiaretta, Sandra Rumolino, Arthur Gottschalk, Walther Castro, Paolo Petrocelli, Romana Matanovac Vučković, Jia Rui, and Masae Shiwa.
