German Pianist Colin Pütz Signs With Dorn Music
Pütz has joined the agency for worldwide general management
The 18-year-old German pianist Colin Pütz has signed with Dorn Music, where he will be represented worldwide by Tanja Dorn.
He joins the likes of Simone Dinnerstein, Martin Helmchen, Jan Vogler, and Tarmo Peltokoski on the company's artist roster.
Pütz’s career took off at age 14 in a collaboration with conductor Cristian Măcelaru performing Chopin’s Second Piano Concerto with the WDR Symphony Orchestra Cologne, and later with the Orchestre National de Radio France.
At age 15, he stepped in on short notice for Daniel Barenboim at the Pro Constantia Music Festival in Rolandseck in a live recorded concert, later broadcast by the Deutschlandfunk Kultur.
Since then, Pütz has performed solo with the Beethoven Orchestra Bonn, George Enescu Philharmonic Orchestra, Banatul Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Dresden Philharmonic.
In 2024, he played Tchaikovsky’s First Piano Concerto in three concerts as part of the Marler Debüt series with the Bergische Symphoniker and conductor György Mészáros.
Recently, he gave his recital debut at the Chamber Music Hall of the Beethoven House in Bonn, and a solo recital at the Monte Carlo Opera as part of the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo’s concert season. Additionally, he has appeared at the Beethovenfest Bonn, the Ruhr Piano Festival, and the Rheingau Music Festival.
From age 10, Pütz has been a junior student at the Pre-College of the Cologne University of Music and Dance, where he will begin his bachelor’s degree this October. His current teachers are Florence Millet and Boris Radulovic.
Having been a scholarship holder of the International Music Academy Liechtenstein, he has also attended masterclasses by Pavel Gililov, Konstantin Scherbakov, Jacques Rouvier, Antti Siirala, and Falko Steinbach.
