Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra has announced the appointment of Singaporean conductor Kahchun Wong as their new Chief Conductor
Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra in Germany has today announced the appointment of 30 year old Singaporean conductor Kahchun Wong as their new Chief Conductor - effective from September 2018.
A graduate of the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music and the Hanns-Eisler Musikhochschule, Kahchun was awarded 1st prize at the 2016 Gustav Mahler International Conducting competition.
A protege of the late Kurt Musur, his recent conducting engagements include Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Berliner Konzerthausorchester, Moscow Philharmonic Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, St.Petersburg Philharmonic and the Tokyo Philharmonic.
