GEWA Music Releases New E-Cello Novita 3.0

Following three years of development, the newly-designed electric cello is now available

Germany’s GEWA Music has introduced their new product, the GEWA E-Cello Novita 3.0 — designed for both experienced cellists and musicians who enjoy experimenting. 

Created after three years of intensive development, the E-cello unites qualities of classical and modern music, allowing musicians to maintain habits of classical cello playing.

Based on an acoustic cello, the E-Cello’s design and sound pick-up system have been optimized to be as similar as possible. A unique feature of the instrument is the “Silent Cello” mode, which allows the E-Cello to be played with headphones at any time and place.

Available in three colors — black, red-brown, and gold-brown — the E-Cello possesses a lime wood body and classic maple or ebony elements, such as the neck and fingerboard, which are complemented by a carbon frame and a design scroll.
