Columbia Artists New York has this week announced the signing of violin virtuoso Gidon Kremer and the Kremerata Baltica chamber orchestra to their roster – for general management in America, Asia, Australia and the United Kingdom.
The 71-year-old Latvian-born violinist and his chamber orchestra will be managed by Douglas Sheldon from the Sheldon/Atlas office within Columbia Artists New York.

“I am delighted to join Columbia Artists together with Kremerata Baltica and work with Doug Sheldon and his team …” Gidon has said.
“Doug and I share a vision for supporting and further developing Kremerata Baltica’s always innovative projects and I look forward to our collaboration immensely,” he has said.
“I am most pleased for the opportunity to work with Gidon, surely one of the world’s most respected, admired and forward-thinking artists, and thrilled for the chance to develop imaginative programs for Kremerata Baltica in several international territories,” Veteran Columbia Artists Manager Doug Sheldon has said.
The Sheldon/Atlas office’s clients include conductors Jaap van Zweden, Valery Gergiev and Leonard Slatkin, violinists Anne-Sophie Mutter and Vadim Repin and pianists Denis Matsuev and Khatia Buniatishvili.
Gidon has served as Artistic Director of the Kremerata Baltica since 1997 – when he founded the ensemble as a 50th birthday present to himself.
