Two-time Emmy award winning composer and conductor Glen Roven has passed away - aged just 60
Two-time Emmy award winning composer and conductor Glen Roven has passed away, following 12 days in a coma – aged just 60.
He composed songs and produced records for luminaries including Julie Andrews, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, Quincy Jones, Patti LaBelle, Liza Minelli, Martin Short and Michael Jackson - and Leon Fleisher.
Throughout his 4 decade career, Meastro Roven regularly conducted performances with the National Symphony, Seattle Symphony, Hollywood Bowl Orchestra, Munich Philharmonic and the Luxembourg Radio Orchestra - plus lead the ensemble for four presidential inaugurations.
